Lakshman drew a line of caution ‘Lakshman Rekha’ for Sita to stay unharmed ; Ram demanding Sita prove her chastity by walking through fire ‘Agni Pariksha’ ; stones marked with Ram did not sink while building the bridge to Lanka – all these are some of the most familiar incidents we know from the grand epic Ramayana authored by the great poet Balmiki. Funnily none of these incidents even appear in the original text by Balmiki ! These so-called events have been created through various versions by various notable poets over ages. Raja Bhattacharya has made a mammoth to show this evolution of Ramayana over time. Every chapter challenged our perception of Ramayana and its titular characters and leaves us in awe and shock !
