এই বইয়ের নাম 'অনীশের সেরা ১০১', যার আসল মানে, 'অনীশের পছন্দের ১০১'। গল্প লেখার কাজটা আমি শুরু করেছিলাম ১৯৬৮ সালের আগস্ট-সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে, আমার বয়েস তখন সতেরো মাইনাস। আর আমার সাম্প্রতিকতম গল্প প্রকাশিত হয়েছে ২০১৫-র জানুয়ারিতে। তা হলে অঙ্কের হিসেবে আমার এই তেষট্টি প্লাস বয়েসে লেখালিখির বয়েস দাঁড়াল প্রায় সাতচল্লিশ বছর। এই সুদীর্ঘ সময়ের লেখালিখি থেকে ১০১টা গল্প বেছে নেওয়াই যায়!
তবে এই সংকলনে ৮৮টি গল্পের পাশাপাশি সাজিয়ে দিয়েছি ১৩টি নভেলেট। সেগুলোকে 'গল্প' হিসেবে ধরে নিয়েই মোট সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ১০১, এবং আপনার কাছে সেই উপহার তুলে দিচ্ছি।
